miss talkative

kaiya has been putting her own sentences together for a couple of months now. they're always quite inventive and she ends up saying things like "me water have it" that way i can get the gist of what she's trying to say, and get it to her asap. They aren't "proper" sentences so to speak, but they are easy to understand and cute. especially with her little tiny voice that makes it sound like she sucked the helium out of a balloon. I don't take credit for any of her speaking ability, she just happens to be good at (verbally) expressing herself. she's always been able to express exactly what she wants, even before she could talk.

today when i was laying down next to her, pretending to sleep, she laid really close to my face. since my mouth was slightly open, and her eye was close to my mouth; she started talking to herself and she said to her eye: "eye mommy's going to eat you"! I started laughing at her and blew my cover. Then she started giggling--she loves it when i laugh at her.

earlier today we quickly mentioned that kai might be constipated. she grabbed minnie and said with great concern in her eyes, "minnie consssstipaaated" and gave her to grandma to rub her belly. then she grabbed her and rubbed her back and was gently shushing her to help her feel better.

while my brothers and cousin were here they really wanted to teach kaiya to say "ouch charlie that really hurt" like those cute boys on that you tube video. They made sure she got the british accent down too. this is a video we got of it. she wasn't cooperating very well, but the last time is pretty good.



i always want to remember that tiny little voice and all the silly things she says.
