kindergartener!!

I cannot believe that my once fat little baby is a kindergartener. She is a kindergartener...a kindergartener. I guess I will eventually get over this fact (at least by the time she is a first grader).

first day of school

She is a happy kindergartener, she loves school. That doesn't mean that she won't tell me hates it occasionally, just because she can. So then I call her bluff by telling her she can stay at home with me, without all her new friends, to which she pauses for a few minutes then responds: "never mind, I want to go to school".  I wouldn't expect anything less from her, she is after all my Kaiya and she needs drama to thrive. That's how she operates.

She loves recess, then hates it for a few minutes, before changing her mind again telling me she loves it. One thing she always loves is her teachers. They are Mrs. Anderson and her assistant (whose name I can't remember right now).

Mrs. Anderson is the perfect Kindergartener teacher, she is the loving and affectionate grandmother type. I'm glad that she is Kaiya's first teacher.

One of my favorite things about her going to school is the uniforms. They are so cute! Here is the first weeks worth of uniforms. They slay me:

After we ran Kaiya to school on her first day, we stopped at the park on the run home. Noah is a no fear kind of guy and usually throws himself down the slide, landing with a thud on his butt. But on this day, with no Kaiya around he was a little bit more hesitant.

He ran up to the twisty slide

 Then peered over the edge
He hung on for dear life
Then he finally let go, after a little coaxing from his momma.
Then he was no fear, again and ran up and slid down over and over again. He's so fun.
