Kaiya got to bring Corduroy the Bear home for the weekend, she had lots of fun with him. She dug in the garden and danced with him.
And then we went on a walk with her Grandparents and collected wildflowers.
Kaiya is the Star Student this week for her class, everyone gets a turn to make a poster about themselves, have Corduroy the bear for the weekend and make a journal entry about him, and they have a minute to teach in class. Kaiya wants to show them how to ride a scooter.
This is Kaiya's favorite lunch before school. Grilled cheese (with avocado--sometimes) and tomatoes.
We made the poster together before school and wrote the journal entry about Corduroy, she was so cute in front of the class, she was so excited to share the pictures she put on her poster. She chose a lot of the pictures we had from hawaii and when she was describing them she would say this is me at the beach "at hawaii"...These are my best friends "at hawaii"...this is a parrot on my shoulder "at hawaii". It was funny.
Only two students got to ask questions and they were: "When is your birthday?" and a little boy asked "How do you brush your hair?"... Kaiya said "sometimes I brush it and sometimes my mom brushes it". Kids are random, and no one but me seemed to think that was a random question.
While we had the makers out, to make her poster, Noah swiped an orange marker and colored the white pillow covers on the couch, my bed spread and his entire face and hands like completely orange, it soaked into his skin.
He looked just like an Oompa Loompa: |
He should totally be this for halloween next year.
