happy belly and hello kitty floaties

she tried to feed that Minnie tattoo on her belly too--she kept saying, "minnie hungry mommy"

when we were in Utah kaiya was being her usual self, and refused anything we tried to feed her for dinner one night. we knew she was hungry because she kept wanting to nurse and was really crazy, but when you get to a certain age breast milk just isn't enough. we tried all sorts of things and one of the things we told her was that her belly was hungry, and would be much happier if she fed it. she took that literally and picked up her shirt grabbed a piece of chicken and tried to feed her belly button. we all started laughing, so she did too--she kept doing it after that cause she got such a good reaction the first time.

arrr tough girl ready for the pool

a couple of weeks ago when we were cleaning the vacation rental, we went to the pool. while we were there we saw some little girls with hello kitty floaties on. chad decided to ask their mom where she got them because kaiya kept pointing at them and wanting to wear them. she said she got them at this hello kitty store but that they don't make them anymore, she just bought out the store cause they were on sale, and she had an extra pair-- so she gave them to us. kai loved them, it was the first time she had really been alone in deep water and she loved the freedom. she was floating on her back and kicking her legs and everything. it was fun to watch her be such a big girl--how did that happen so fast!?

here's my big girl showing off her moves in the water:

im such a fan of all her many awesome facial expressions! i feel your pain with the feeding except that now we cant even fall back on breastmilk so its fruit, yogurt and treats for amby! what a balanced diet!:)

so, this is Luke's new favorite past time. I have to play this movie like 10 times in a row for him until I tell him NO MORE! he loves to watch Kaiya.
