We went to the pumpkin patch last Saturday too. The weather was perfect for a pumpkin patch visit--cold and blustery, well at least at first then it warmed up. Kaiya only wanted to take home two little tiny pumpkins and they only cost two dollars together. what a deal! :)
what's a pumkin patch without some hula squash giving you shaka? (and some kisses from your daddy?)
Kaiya got to rise a horse for the first time and she was very excited about it! She really wanted to ride the black one, and every time a horse would stop to pick up another kid she would yell: "it's my turn!" and then I'd have to explain that it wasn't her turn yet... that happened for 30 minutes before it was finally her turn. When it was finally her turn she was bubbling with excitement and ready to go!
and if you decide to go to the pumpkin patch, you might say to yourself: "oh a hay ride! i've never done one of those, and it's only a dollar fifty! We should do it, the kids will LOVE it!"
But don't trick yourself into thinking it will be a fun enjoyable ride. You may in fact hate it, especially if your skirt keeps flying up everytime you try to sit on the very scratchy hay. and because all you so is stand in line for a half hour, get on a big wagon with some hay bales on it and ride v e r y s l o w l y around a huge pumpkin patch. all the while stopping every five feet to let people get on and off the wagon to check out some pumpkins.
Or maybe you'll love it. But don't say I didn't warn you.
can you sense the fun they're having?But do go to the pumkin patch and hang out with your friends and your family, on a blustery saturday afternoon. in hawaii of course. That you won't regret.

some very wise advice, thank you! I bet it would have been much more miserable here in the 30 degree weather, eek! Kaiya is getting so big, cant believe it. I love that skirt that you made her.

hey! how come I never knew about that while I was there! I would have loved to go. Looks like you guys had lots of fun and it seems like you guys have an animal lover on your hands =o)
hey we went on saturday too and of all days in kapolei where the sun shines most..it rained..amazing! but bummer too...we were mad cus we got the last hay ride and they didn't let us off to get any pumpkins...but last year the pumpkins were way better and bigger...in fact, when we were there, there were truck loads of pumpkins being thrown off into the patch to make it look like the farm grew it..apparently there was a shortage of pumpkins this year=)
